William Wallace Hollister Marries Augusta Stevens

1889 June 7 – Napa Register – Wednesday’s Wedding:By 2 Wed afternoon a large and fashionable company had assembled at Christ (Episcopal) church in this city to witness the ceremonies that were to unite William Hollister of Santa Barbara and Miss Augusta Stevens of Napa as man and wife.

The chancel had been tastily trimmed with ferns and  wax-white lilies, and a sweet atmosphere pervaded the church. A few minutes after 2 the bridal party arrived, and as they marched in and up the aisle a chorus of young ladies…sang the first stanza of “Call Me Thine Own.” The  marriage was solemnized by Rev William Leacock.
